How fast life rolls on. Yoshigo has now been gone for 2 months, and the children are starting a new school year.
Lanycia will be starting 2nd grade at Wilson Elementary and will also be starting soccer the same week. She is very excited for both. We don’t know who her teacher is yet, but that’s not stopping her excitement.
Although there are no state pre-schools here in UT, we found an awesome private preschool for Lavieon to attend. He will be in kinder-Prep in the mornings, three days a week. He is very excited. He already has homework that he has to return on the first day of school. I pray that he will have a great learning experience that will advance him and not just occupy his time. He will also be playing soccer this year! He thinks that shin guards are the best thing ever invented and chooses to wear them everywhere!!
I’m still adjusting. I was so worried about my children, and how they would handle the move, but I think I am having the hardest time. I miss my friends... which I find strange because I am surrounded by family. But when you are so far away for so long, friendship is what sustains you. I miss that!
We have already taken the time to venture out; we went up Payson Canyon and hiked to the grotto. My cousin Kurt took the children to Sliding Rock in Alpine, and we’ve gone to visit the Provo and Manti temples! It has been fun and I look forward to more adventures to come!
