Eating Candy on Christmas Eve

Our Thanksgiving

This was our first Thanksgiving where it just our family. The only time we've have Dom and Kayla before we were luck enough to have thanksgiving in NJ. There is nothing like family but it was nice for us to just spend time together. This was also the first Thanksgiving where I cooked! I was so excited. I planned weeks ahead of time what I would make! Here is a run down:

*Deviled Eggs, that Lany smooshing the yoke
*Veggie Plate with Ranch Dip and Olives of course
*Cheese Ball with Crackers, it was the best cheese ball I have ever tasted. I usually dont like them because they are spicy flavred. My friend Cindy Made one for enrichment and I HAD to steal the recipe.
*Hush Puppies
*Five Cup Salad, fruit and marshmellow kind... one of my fav!
*Black Eyed Peas
*Sweet Potato Casserole
*Collard Greens, Hubby hooked those up
*Turkey of course, Hubby and the girls
*Corn Bread Stuffing
*Home Made Cheese Cake, my first time making it, Cheese cake is Hubby Fav so I had a lot to live up to
*Pumpkin Pie

The food turned out great! Plus we had enough that I didnt have to cook for the rest of the weekend! As far as every one enjoying themselves... I will skip that! The Christmasy pics are from this weekend too. I tried to lighted the mood by decorating with the girls... didnt work! But Lavi really likes the Christmas stuff minus the whoopins hes gotten from getting in the tree. Some of the pics were taken by Lany and Kayla. The pic of skin is Lanys cheek, she turned the camera around and blinded herself lol. For the most part I had a good time. Worried how our Christmas will go!!!

Oh Lanycia

Before Lany puts her PJ’s on, I always say, “go peepee”. That is usually followed by protest. On her way to the bathroom she was ranting on how she DIDN’T WANT to go pee and that she was now SAD. I said “I’m gonna make your butt sad if you don’t knock it off”. First I heard “My butts not sad” followed by “Mama, my butt cant talk”! LOL

There is a spot of land the city is clearing to build, heavens knows why it has Lany’s attention. At first she commented on the tractors. Next time she said “Mama what are they making”? I said, “I don’t know Sugar Pot”. She asked “Are they gonna make a fort or a tree house”?

At the Primary Presentation all the Sun Beams had one-liners about Jesus. Lany got up, folded her arms like a prayer and said, “Jesus loves me when I’m a good girl and not pee in my panties”!

Lany has a very dark skinned baby doll that she has had for years but it has been packet since last November. She was showing Daddy and I her baby and we asked what the babies name was she said “Um… Black Black”

When I get frustrated or make a mistake I say “Oh Biscuits” Lany said, “Biscuits are food. You eat them with chicken Mama you cant say biscuits you say Oh my gosh”!

Treats

Lany went as a CowGirl, She wore her Fancy Nancy Hat and Rain Boots! On the way to the Church she feel asleep (10 minute ride!) Before we got home that night she was saying that she wanted to be a witch!



Lavi went as a Pumpkin with Lany's outfit from last year... yeah! He had so much fun running around with all the kids! He is lucky because this was Lany's first year trick-or-treating!

FINALLY

Little Lav FINALLY got his big boy seat! The poor guy was holding his head up the entire time as we drove! He can finally see! On his first ride in his seat he said, "WHASTHAT" to EVERYTHING!! And of course he enjoys the reclining action!!

The Tree House

Where do you take your children on a rainy day? The tree house on post! It was the coolest thing I have ever seen! All the walls were painted so it seemed that you were in a different land. There was a soft play for the little ones, and inside the tree house there is four floors, that's with the ground floor. All sorts off nooks and cranny's to climb in and over. Slides to go down and a millions soft balls to throw and roll around in. We went during toddler time because the air was off. What air you say. The stove looking thing in the middle is connected to an air compressor. You put the balls in, press the button and all the ball shoot out the top. There are also air guns all along the top levels. You put the ball is a shoot them. That's what Lany is doing. She loved the air but Lav didn't like the noise it made when the balls shot up. They had so much fun!
