AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!

I had plans to spend time with Ro ALONE! Which would have taken a HUGE chunk of money and would have taken away from money that could have been used to do fun family stuff, and I was feeling guilty!! Selfish even!! But everyone was telling me, "No you need THAT time with Ro, dont feel guilty", but I did!!

I FINALLY made a decision to NOT get a hotel, and to find stuff/activities we could do that would be memorable to the family and children especially!!

THE VERY NEXT DAY I read on a FB status,
I have two, 3 day Disneyland park hopper tickets... for free!

WHAT!!!!! IT WAS A SIGN! I DECIDED NOT TO BE SELFISH, AND LOOK... FREE TICKETS!!

Luckily for me this status came from my cousin-in-law Phill!! And there were no other comments, it was like it was just waiting for ME!!

Two days of DISNEYLAND here we come... WOOHOO!

We were planning on going TWO DAYS to disneyland BUT we went Monday... the day after LV hurt his arm, and we couldnt go Tuesday because he had the appointment. I will be forever greatful to Phill, we were able to spend time as a family and create amazing memories that will last a life time and beyond!! THANK YOU, TAHNK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Is It Broke?

All the military spouse/mothers know that family emergencies, flat tires, and emergency room visits happen ONLY when the Hub is deployed!! First off I would like to say that from the time Lany was old enough to move around she has bumped, banged, crashed, fell into everything and anything and I have been WAITING for my day in the ER.
SO... because the Hub was deployed... which makes danger OFFICIAL... I have been holding my breathe!!!
The day I was to pull out of GA and start the journey to CA my car wouldn't start and I needed a jump... blessed, it caused me no further problems until we were safe at my Mom's house, and then I had to buy a new battery!
Six and a half months of waiting it happened!!!! LUCKILY (or maybe inconveniently)the incident occurred a week after Ro came home for RnR!!

Sunday afternoon,
lunch is done,
waiting for nap time,
Ro and I were in the living room,
the kids were playing WITH THE DOOR OPEN in their room,
I heard Lany say, "I'm sorry LV, I'm sorry" Which is the routine when she doesn't want him to tell on her,
I waited,
no crying,
nothing,
about 3 minutes later the Boy walks out, holding his right arm,
there was no crying because he was stuck in one of those no breathers,
wrist was swollen,
CRYING when we tried to see if everything was OK,
he could NOT grip,

SO...
to urgent care,
waiting,
waiting,
doc checked wrist,
waiting,
x rays which made him CRY due to the forced movement,
waiting,
waiting,
doc comes in,
says he couldn't see any breaks BUT he could not read the xray,
I would have to wait till the next evening AFTER 5 pm,
said he didn't think anything was wrong,
that LV was only CRYING because he was scared...

WHAT????!!!!!! THE BOY IS OBVIOUSLY HURT!!!!!! HE STILL HAD NOT MOVED HIS ARM!!! WAS STILL FAVORING IT!!!! WAS STILL CRYING, LETHARGIC, AND VISIBLY IN PAIN!!!! I WAS SO FREAKEN MAD THAT I DIDN'T SAY A WORD!!!

Doc says do you want me to wrap his wrist in an ace bandage,
through gritted teeth I say SURE!

Monday morning,
call our primary care,
cant get an appointment till Tuesday morning,

Tuesday morning the boy and I go to the docs,
as soon as the doc walks in he says I think his elbow is dislocated,
I have seen this before many times,
and the way he is holding his arm (which as a limp hang at the side of his body),
The doc graciously listened to my FULL story,
ordered full DETAILED xrays,
we waited,
NO BREAK,
NO FRACTURE,
doc did a little maneuver,
said he should be better,
wrapped his arm,
we went home,
the boy took a nap,
when he woke,
MOVEMENT HAD RETURNED!!
still favoring it,
still was aware of the pressure he applied,
BUT,
VISIBLY BETTER.

I have never wanted to kiss an Doc or call and sing my praise but HECK!! I was so happy! and all it took was for a doc to ACTUALLY pay attention!! I guess I lucked out on the NO BREAK thing,

BUT... this happened on Sunday 13, Sept.

SINCE THEN...
LV has fallen off a 5 foot play structure at the park, STRAIGHT onto his head!
Fallen 4 1/2 feet off the play fort we have in our back yard, complete somersault in the air and skidded FACE FIRST into the wood chips!!
And last night busted his lip on the tonka truck, blood, YES!!!

Guess I have to HOLD MY BREATHE

The Pick Up

I surprised Ro and brought the kids to the airport... I DO NOT have a camera OTHER THAN my cell... I WAS SHAKING LIKE CRAZY!!! I was SO excited that NONE of the pictures came out but I'm gonna post them ANYWAY!!

The kids RAN to him and I was glad that LV, was HAPPY!!

Although this is an AMAZING SIGHT, part of me wanted to KNOCK THE KIDS OUT OF HIS ARMS and jump in!! Jump into MY PLACE!! The place where I belong!! Jump into the Annie Notch!!

The kids WERE SO EXCITED!!!! they were RUNNING ALL OVER THE PLACE and I could have cared less!!! They were HAPPY!! I WAS HAPPY!!!

Believe it or not, all I could think in THIS moment was, "GROSS!!!! That hat is SO dirty and sweaty nasty gross, and my poor big headed boy has it on his head... GROSS"!!!

We were ALL together!!!!

Just being in his presence was SO AMAZING!! To see the children smile at him, laughing with him, call his name to "show" him something... AW... LOVE!!!
