The Tree House

Where do you take your children on a rainy day? The tree house on post! It was the coolest thing I have ever seen! All the walls were painted so it seemed that you were in a different land. There was a soft play for the little ones, and inside the tree house there is four floors, that's with the ground floor. All sorts off nooks and cranny's to climb in and over. Slides to go down and a millions soft balls to throw and roll around in. We went during toddler time because the air was off. What air you say. The stove looking thing in the middle is connected to an air compressor. You put the balls in, press the button and all the ball shoot out the top. There are also air guns all along the top levels. You put the ball is a shoot them. That's what Lany is doing. She loved the air but Lav didn't like the noise it made when the balls shot up. They had so much fun!

Six Random Things...

1. Because BO is one of my biggest pet peeves, I have almost an obsession about deodorant. When I put it on I have to say my ABC up to the letter P. I say them fast and put the deodorant on fast but Ive been told that it is to much deodorant. The ABC thing started when I was in Iraq.
2. I can eat bread any time, all day long. It doesn't even matter what kind of bread. So many times I will even have bread with butter as a snack or before I go to bed. Can you say hello to my thighs?!
3. I HATE to be lightly touched. Its hard to explain... You know when some one sits next to you and they are not fully touching you but close enough to brush your skin ever so lightly... THATS IT. I HATE THAT! Duran and Chela can testify to that. The biggest problem came when I had kids. When Lany was still a baby she would rub her little hand on my arm over and over again. IT DROVE ME CRAZY but at the same time I loved he little soft hand. AAAAHHHHHHH just thinking about it bugs me. The slightest brush will make me mad which through's cuddling off a titch. And please don't rub the same place constantly. EEBBBEERRSSHHAABBLLAAHHHH
4. I have my belly button pierced and I have had my nose pierced twice. And... I have a tattoo.
5. I HATE being cold!!! I would rather be in 125' Iraqi heat then even the chill of needing to put slippers on in the morning! Today is one of those mornings. Large shirt, shorts, slippers BBBOOOOOOOOO!
6. I have saved the best for last... I pee in the shower. I KNOW, I KNOW. But I don't see anything wrong with it. Ive peed in the shower since forever. Probably because I swam in HS and they told us that to get rid or to prevent athletes foot, pee on your feet. So I pee in the shower and even in the Army with my boots I never had a problem.

LAVIEON IS 1

LAVIEON ROMELLO MARQUISE TAYLOR SLEEP: Lav sleeps in his own bed. He has access to Lanys bed and the floor. He likes to sleep with a bobo (pacifier) and blankie. lately he has been taking only one nap in the after noon. EAT: He drinks out of a sippy cup but longs to drink out of a big cup! Any chance he gets he pulls a cup down and drinks... I mean pours it all over himself. No baby food for this boy! He eats whatever we eat. I do a lot of cutting up! He holds the spoon or fork while he GRABS the food with his other hand lol. If ever its quiet and you cant see him, he is in what we call his nest... under the table! No matter how much I sweep or clean or pic up he always finds food on the floor or in the cracks of his chair. His first grab of anything he is eating, he slams his hand into it and gets the biggest handful you have ever seen. PLAY: Lanycia and Lavieon play great together. Lav likes to throw the ball I would say thats his fav. When we go to the park he loves to swing, and eat dirt. He also has a thing for the pine cones! He has been walking since 8 months so he is a fast runner now! TALK: He mumbles and grumbles all the time. Only getting loud occasionally. He does say some words... MAMA of course, DADA only sometimes, NIGH NIGH for night night, TAH TAH for thank you, BOBO, UH-OH, NAH TEE for nasty, ILK for milk, UP, ILUHLOO for i love you, he gives good kisses, can blow kisses, gives high-fives and yells WHOO when you slap hands, and he shakes his head no....

Kids cant be kids if you dont let them!

Saturday was a chilly day and it had rained the night before. Ro was dead set on washing the cars even though the sky was gray and full of promises of rain. As the kids ate lunch they could see Daddy out the window and were full with curiosity. After they ate I slipped on their sandals and let them run free. It was so fun! I knew the water could not be totally avoided so we didn't set limits! After playing they of course took a bath followed by a long good for Mama nap!

Enrichment Night Craft ;D

Ok, here is the deal on the ring. Great idea Shannon but this is already my third ring!
HOLD ON HOLD ON.
Ring 1: Was bought at last minute from a stand in the middle of the mall for $78 LOL. We got engaged over the phone. Ro was in Texas and I was in Iraq! When we got back together we were in Cali at the NorthRidge Mall with my BFF and her Boyfriend and they were both making fun of Ro for not giving me a ring. He bought a size 7 and Im a size 6.
Ring 2: We had been married for a couple of months and Ro saw a ring he really liked and he bought it for me as a surprise. It was a lot better because we had to get the first on sized and since it was so CHEAP ;D it was seperating on the bottom.
Ring 3: Before I came to Georgia we were really going through some things and we werent even sure that we were going to be staying together. After reuniting we really talked and let it all out! We were still in the "Honey Moon" phase of being back together, espesially emotionally and he got a new ring to show his determination and commitment! Its nice! But... its size 7! I was a little fat LOL so it was a nice change to have a ring that wasnt cutting the circulation off in my finger hahaha, so... I didnt get it sized!

So Tuesday morning we got up and the kids and I were getting ready to go to the library story time at 0930. We were a little behingd the curve. Tuesday night I went to Enrichment Night and I was noticing my friend Tara's ring. It looked a lot like mine. I then noticed I didnt have my ring on!! Now... I had my braclets and earings on but I never put them on without putting my ring on first! When I got home (10pm) I checked my ring box, drewer, couch (I often set my ring on the arm when I do Lanycia's hair), and floor. I didnt find it so I went to bed planning to super check in the morning. MORNING: I COULDNT FIND IT! I even checked the car (thanks Che). Tuesday night when I noticed it missing I made comment and Tara said that she thought she had lost her ring once so she, sfter serching asked her kids. He son had moved it to another drawer in her jewelry box. I asked Lany (2pm). She said she had not seen it. When Ro came home I gave him the official news(7pm). About an hour later Lany said, "Mama your ring is in my car". (a canvas folding chair with a cup holder). She went into Dom's room and came back with my ring. She said Lav was playing with it. Who knows!! Im just glad to have it and also glad that I had THOUGHT I took it off to do Lany's hair and glad to know im not completely losing my mind!!!

Double Exposure

I have a nice 35mm manual, Minolta x-9 camera that I awesomely got for Christmas one year. My sister Chela also has one, and we were saying to each other how we should really use them and felt bad that we had used them so little. After our chat I pulled mine out of the closet, read the instruction manual to get refreshed. I noticed that I had a brand new roll of film in it. I thought I could burn it up but knew that the pics might not come out to well since the film was so old. (6yrs plus) I got the kids out of the house even though it was going to rain and snapped away. I went to Wal-Mart, got one hour photo, came home, popped in the CD (I didn't get prints), and this is what I found...
