Agony

There is nothing harder than to see someone walk the dark path that I have walked before. To know and understand the dark, hurt place that they are engulfed in, and to know that nothing I can say will help them emerge any quicker.
So many times in our lives we put up a front, that everything is "All Good" but why are we so afraid for others to see our faults? Is it shame from what others will think of us? Or is it shame from ourselves?

My name is Annie Delight Taylor, I am a food addict, professional procrastinator, I lie to get out of doing things, I use swear words A LOT (part of me can blame the military life), I yell at my kids way more than I praise them, I am lazy, I don't read my scriptures nearly as much as I should, I don't even pray every day, I don't really like other peoples kids unless I am friends with the parents and I get a chance to be with them, I would HATE a calling in Primary, my marriage has been more bad than good and by that I mean he cheated on me the first 4 years of our marriage... and its only been 5 1/2, and... I have peed in a trash can at a tanning salon!

THERE!!!!!!!! Do I feel like deleting some of the things on that list... YES. But a lot of those things make up Annie Taylor. They wont always define me!! Most of those I work on every day!!

I STRIVE!!!!!

I am so thankful to the Lord for blessing us with the word STRIVE as it pertains to some commandments and the gospel!!! Its like saying and being able to live the saying, "In every way, and every day, I'm getting better, and Better".

The Sales Pitch

I have never done anything sales-y in my life! I was an Avon Rep for a couple of months but I was to afraid to REALLY ask anyone if they were even interested let alone if they wanted to BUY something! And just a few short months later... I am now an Independent Arbonne Consultant!! WOOHOO I am so excited because I LOVE THIS STUFF!
Before I was even OFFICIALLY a consultant I was asked to host a booth at a city fair thingy. And I did. I set up the products, hung the Arbonne sign, and sat and waited for interested people to ask me about products that I really didn't know about. BUT... I did it! AND... it felt good! I enjoyed the interaction, the enthusiasm of both me and the "potential client"! I left that night with 4 "contacts" which in the network marketing business "contacts" are GOLD!!!
Today... I called all 4 of my contacts!! I did it! I was so nervous! NOT for them to say No, they weren't interested, BUT for them to say YES!!! That meant I needed to meet with them, follow up, place orders, give samples, be a professional!!! 2 answering machines, 1 not now, and 1 yes... I FELT GREAT!!! I DID IT!!! I made a follow up!!! I felt like, if I could call a STRANGER and lay it out there then I could ask any one about these products (by the way... why does it seem harder to ask people you know? I think maybe its the sense that you don't want anyone close to you to feel obligated. AND... you don't want anyone close to you to say no HAHAHAHA, ugh!!)
When you sign up to be a consultant they ask you, "whats your WHY". Why is it that this business is really what you want to do. Because you need to have a passion, a drive to get you motivated to put in the work! Most answers are, I wanted to be financially stable, I wanted to work from home, I love the product.... And yes!!! These are all nice and on my list but what I found myself saying didn't seem to fit the same mold. It wasn't until a week later when I was talking to my counselor about it that I finally realized what it was! First off, Here are some of mine...

I WANT TO...
fill my desire to be part of a team.
be involved in my community.
have active goals that have no limit to success.
work hard as part of a successful company.
achieve.
be part of the bigger picture.
find myself.

ALL of these THINGS I had while I was in the Army!!!! I fight a daily struggle of feeling OUT OF PLACE!!! A HUGE piece of me feels like I am Specialist Taylor! That's WHO I am! I AM a soldier! (tears now)
I KNEW who I was! I was GOOD at what I did! I was part of a team!!! And I also struggle with feeling that I let my team down!! In some way that you might not understand, I quit!!! I HATE that feeling!!
Arbonne for me is so much more than skin care, make up, and health products.(although I LOVE everything about their products) Its about "the bigger picture"! I can be involved. I can achieve and have work related goal, see and achieve success. I can progress in "rank" I can work my way to the top!!

I CAN FILL THE VOID!!

I am thankful to Yoshigo for "allowing" me to get financially involved in yet ANOTHER project : ) He knows that I don't always finish what I start but this... This is so much more and I thank him for understanding! I love you Ro!!
I guess I wrote this post because I AM so excited about my new business! About Arbonne! And I wanted to give everyone a fair warning that I AM EXCITED so... your gonna hear about it haha! I love you all! and Thank You!

Took The Day Off / Potty Training

I feel like I have been going NON STOP for the past two weeks and I am not use to this crazy pace of having something scheduled EVERYDAY so... I took the day off. I didn't even go to church. Why you ask? Couldn't I just have taken Saturday off? Well... Friday night I TOTALLY crashed, woke with a calm relief of nothingness to be accomplished all day and at 930am when i FINALLY gave into my little children's desire for a "NACK" I realized... SUMMER SWIM LESSONS AT 1030!!!!! UUUUGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!! That was it! My day was ruined! I actually HAD to get dressed (even though I didn't have to take a shower, and it was just a swim suit), I HAD to load kids and stuff into the car, I HAD to actually DRIVE, and I HAD to be active.... [p.s. I had fun AT the swim lessons because LV was being SO FUNNY but still, let me complain... Thank You]
So I took today off! My Mom was here so I let the kids wake up and venture out WITHOUT me and I laid in bed WITH MY EYES CLOSED till 1030!!!! I DID take a shower and then did NOTHING!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! I even got a 2 hour nap which was WONDEROUS!!! The house was just cold enough that I could snuggle into my blankets and that's MY FAVORITE kind of nap!!! But I would like to brag at this moment to say that I was SLIGHTLY productive today. LV wore UNDIES all day without and accident!!! He took the advantage of his pull up at nap time to poop, so thank you Boy!!! But I AM CONFUSED!! He has only peed ONCE in the potty today. When he wears pull ups I feel like ALL I EVER DO is change him, and now just the pee/poop diaper from nap time and one peepee in the potty. Is he holding it? I personally did not potty train Lany so this is my first time. does anyone have any suggestions. I know that the Boy is still young, and I'm not FORCING him to go! BUT.... if he is willing, I'm training!!! I CAN NOT imagine diapers for the next 2 years!!!! Naps and night time are one thing BUT all day... No thank you! Any advice?

Sigh Of Relief

About 2 minutes ago I submitted my last assignment for my pre algebra course! I cant believe that I am at the end! When I opened the book I thought that I would never make it past the first chapter! I have such an amazing feeling of accomplishment! I do have to say that I will be really disappointed if I don't get a good grade! I have tried SSOOOO hard! I am also happy because I am going to be on a little schooling break! I wont be taking another course until... Octoberish! The kids have been enjoying summer swim lessons at the out door pool, and I think Lany has had her fill of Dance. She hasn't been really enjoying herself this term. I have been getting really involved with Arbonne, as all you FBers know. If you are wondering what this is it is all natural, all vegan skin care products!! I am using the NutriminC RE9 line and the baby line on the kids and... I LOVE IT!!!! I will more than likely become an Arbonne Consultant because I love the products, if you would like to know more then you can check it out HERE, and let me know!!! (Sorry if that sounded like a sales pitch, That's not how I meant it i just REALLY LOVE THESE PRODUCTS!!!!!!) Last weekend I had the chance to attend a sealing at the temple! IT WAS AMAZING!! There was a lot of great factors that helped make that day amazing for me, 1. it was the wedding of a family friend, Chela's bbf Lauren. 2. Papa and Rachel were there which made it the first time together in the temple since I received my endowment. 3. Pres. Marts, our old Stake Pres, the current LA temple Pres conducted the sealing and had some AMAZING words for me after. aaaahhhhh (breathing out) I cant believe i am done with my math!!
